Job Description
Job Purpose
The Consultant – Data Analytics will support the Data Analytics Manager in executing on the Data Analytics strategy. They will contribute to the growth and management of the Data Analytics business and assume a key role in the delivery of analytics projects for clients.
Functional Outputs
1. Business Development
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients
- Contributes to new business proposals and other Data Analytics business development activities
- Participates in the planning processes of the DigiTech Assurance business
- Contributes to thought leadership on the use and advancement of Data Analytics
2. Engagement Delivery
- Unpacks business problems and frames analytics driven solutions
- Maps analytics solutions to client system data requirements and facilitates the data acquisition process
- Ensures data quality and manages the data reconciliation process
- Supervises junior staff on data analytics execution
- Generates impactful insights from analysis
- Compile comprehensive working papers
3. Practice Management
- Ensures adherence to firm’s quality and risk management processes
- Keeps abreast of developments and innovation in the Data Analytics area
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor`s Degree) with a major in Maths and Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Business Administration
- Minimum of 1 year Data Analytics experience
- Experience in scripting using analytics tools such as SQL or R is essential
- Experience in using data visualisation tools such as MS Power BI or Tableau or Qlik is advantageous
- Experience in consulting environment advantageous
