Job Description
Join Lactalis SA at our Bonnievale Plant in the Pre-Pack department with the main responsibilities to de crate all cheese and loaded on to cheese sanitizer. To put cheese into plastic bags on the loaf lines. Successful candidates need to have at least 2 year’s experiences within FMCG environment. Must have complete basic dairy training. Must be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of food quality and full adherence to all Safety & Health policies, procedures, and legislation. Be fluent in English and computer literate.
Required Skills:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- At least 2 year’s experiences within a manufacturing environment
- Must be willing to work shifts, overtime, on weekends and public holidays
- Physical strength and good health to move pallets
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- To be accurate and have a sharp sense of punctuality.
- To be reliable, trustworthy, pro-active and energetic.
- To be a team player.
- Willing to perform Ad hoc tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work 8 hours shift and pick up 20kg blocks of cheese and put labels on pack.
- Able to rotate between lines and be versatile.
- Able to work efficient and keep up with the machines output.
- Remove waste to destination area.
- Report any quality issues.
- Report near misses and safety.
- To reject non conform cheese like mould and bad appearance of cheese
- Quality of product must be within spec and any deviations must be reported.
